MATCHPOINT

Some of my favourite pieces landing online for Fall Winter 2013, particularly those of the matching variety! This Chloé printed top and bottom number is a perfect example of pairing prints for the season, especially if you (like me) aren't one to clash colours and prints all at once. Swap the printed top for a simple colour block sweater for a more muted look. The Chloé Alice bag falls in at number one for my must-have accessory of the season; so practical and the off-white/black colour combination is timeless. - Match this look with the Saint Laurent Paris heels for night or Zara Ponyskin loafers (aka Céline? anyone?) for the day. Finally, rose-gold is still on my radar and definitely my first choice when it comes to jewellery. This to-die-for Repossi style earcuff  and V shaped ring is from Alex Mika Jewellery (a New York brand that you must check out!) Beautiful pieces made with created white sapphires.
For bracelets, Monica Vinader never let's me down with dainty diamonds, or if you prefer more of a statement piece this Valentino studded cuff will complete any outfit day or night.

WINTER PICKS

My picks for December... otherwise known as a very long and some what imaginary Christmas list no?

It all starts with the coat. There are so many 'Fashion' coats out at the moment, take for example my Zara Biker coat with leather lapels, I love it, and so does the rest of London apparently, i've lost count of the number of times i've crossed other women wearing the same thing. With this in mind i'm now coveting a more classic, muted style. I'd seen a beautifully simple Givenchy coat I fell in love with but sadly, it is Givenchy (cha-ching) so this All Saints wool and cashmere coat is my second best and hugely more affordable option! Denim brands seem to be going distressed-crazy this season; love these J Brand ripped jeans, which are the perfect off-duty style teamed with the three cosy sweaters. Still spreading the love for Isabel Marant's Bobby sneakers, the best price-per-wear thing i've bought, but i'm still trying to find these retro New Balance sneakers that seem to sell out everywhere immediately! All the rest are lovely books/homeware/stationary pieces that are definitely on my wish list!

THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS UPON US

Prepare yourself for very fashion-concious festive jumpers.

How is it December next week? (I know we ask ourselves this very simple question every year).
A week ago i'd seen Net-a-Porter had released an exclusive set of designer Christmas themed jumpers  with some of the best contemporary designers, and whilst I thought to myself oh good god it's Christmas in four weeks I also found that I was adding several of them to my Wishlist. So which is your favourite? I would very much like to be sporting a Moschino Reindeer jumper (no less) whilst enjoying my Christmas lunch, or 3.1 Phillip Lim with mince pies and crap TV, wouldn't you?

YEE-HA

Forget the cowboy boot, it's all about the heels, cowboy heels.
Isabel Marant Kylie Pump just in at Matches Fashion.

In love with these pumps by Isabel Marant, as soon as they started to land online with the AW12 collection the obsession began to grow- the perfect statement shoes. I've seen them snapped a lot during Fashion Week, worn with ripped jeans or shorts and shirts. The suede and colour tones make them kind of casual and so a great statement day/work shoe, but the detailing and heel height make it perfect to carry your outfit into the evening. I saw them on Man Repeller's 'Manstagram' a few weeks ago and thought they looked too cool (it helps if you have super long tanned legs, though). They also come in loads of colour ways making the decision even harder, but the i'm really coveting the burgundy. What do you think?

SEPTEMBER ESSENTIALS

More reasons I love September.. transeasonal dressing! It is a fickle thing, fashion vs. english weather. I spend most of my time in the summer months wondering what on earth is appropriate to wear in the blazing heat when it will (most definitely) be pouring with torrential rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon, with the temperature dropping at least by 10 degrees after that. It also doesn't help that I love layering and my wardrobe consists mainly of knitwear! I can only hope over the next few weeks it'll be clear skies, with a cool temperature and no rain (yes I am completely delusional, but it'll help me in justifying more transeasonal purchases..)
What to start looking out for the Autumn/Winter? 1. The perfect coat. The most important piece in making an outfit. Yes I shouldn't be wishing away the nice sunny weather but I am also far too eager to purchase new coats with so many great styles in store already for AW12. This wool coat from the Topshop 'Premium' range is just what I have been looking for; it has that oversized, voluminous structure but in a more contemporary cocoon style that you can chuck over anything and it'll make the outfit.
2. The printed L/S tee: A lightweight, long sleeve tee like these ones from Proenza Schouler's AW12 collection are perfect to wear under a coat or jacket without having to layer on the knitwear just yet. I am a sucker for anything Breton and the rust coloured 'mountain' style print is the perfect statement jersey!
3. The perfect white tee: An obvious choice, but you really can't go wrong. I love this geo oversized piece from Topshop Boutique, it may only be a white T-shirt but the structure of it makes all the difference.
4. The suede sneakers: Can you tell I might just be a little bit obsessed with Isabel Marant's sneakers? Ever since I got my hands on my first pair of Willow's at the beginning of this year the addiction  has simply got worse. They are so comfortable and really do go with everything that I couldn't find a better alternative. Whether you choose Bekett's or Bobby's or Boston's you won't regret it! They're gold dust at the moment with there having been so many waiting lists for them, so contact me if you are trying to locate a pair and i'll do my best to help!
5. The Black Bag: Show me a bag in 10 colours and I will almost definitely choose it in Black. I love this new Mulberry Maisie bag; I was never really sold on the Bayswater's (and even more so the Del Rey's), but when I saw this unusual beauty previewed at Dover Street Market, I loved the imprinted buckles and the mix of suede and leather. A much more contemporary twist on the usual leather Mulberry's!

#FNO

It's that time of year again! September is my favourite month of the year, (not just because it might be my birthday, but that helps.) but for fashion week which is fast approaching, and Vogue's Fashion Night Out in just two days time! Hurrah! For me, key places to check out this year have to be Liberty's with Jonathan Saunders and Roksanda Illincic making appearances and lots of in-store activities, and of course Bruton Street/New Bond Street for all the standalone designer stores.
Covent Garden is a must as well with the pop up Chanel beauty store! (Tip! Don't forget to look out for the pink Chanel London Cabs which will be offering free manicures in the new AW12 shades)

For the best information on where to go this Thursday in London, visit the FNO Facebook page which is regularly updating what will be happening.

What i'm wearing to #FNO? Check back later this week to see!

#FNO Wishlist! Left to Right:

iWISH

Cannot stop building imaginary wishlists online; they're such a great way of doing outfit builds and narrowing your options down to find that one great piece that you'll use with things you already have, and to stop impulse buying (which I hate doing, and always regret!)  My Matches and Net-a-Porter lists are on overload right now, here's one of my favourite outfits for this week. These clear sling-back Louboutin's are the perfect finish to a casual outfit.
