TRANSEASONAL PRINTS

Prints at the ready! Here are some great transeasonal pieces (in the form of floral prints!) to mix with all your wardrobe essentials. Every season Isabel Marant's embroidered trousers are a must-have piece, and these hawaiin-print floral jeans are perfect for this time of year; they'll look great with a basic crew sweatshirt for English spring weather (e.g, minus 8 and snow? who knows?) or boxy t-shirts when summer does arrive! The plain grey sweater is T by Alexander Wang, but if you prefer something with a motif on it, opt for this Topman 'New York City' sweater (trust me, it's super warm!).

This Acne fringe top is great for teaming with mid-length skirts (or the jeans aforementioned); Christopher Kane's beautiful princess skirt (no really, it's actually called the 'princess' skirt) and at that price it should make you feel very royal indeed! If you're looking for something that won't break the bank, the structured mid-length white skirt by Topshop Boutique would look great with any t-shirt/sweater essentials too.

Alternatively if you're not a fan of skirts, these Alexander Wang floral graphic-print shorts from SS12 are perfect for teaming with any of the tops above! Or even swap the grey sweaters for coloured ones to make the shorts pop! They are the perfect length too, long enough for work but still with the transparent detailing to give it an edge. Still not convinced? They are 65% off at The Outnet! And it doesn't end there, the amazing cut-out black 'Danica' heels are also Wang, so highly coveted when they first came out and, again, 55% off at The Outnet! (Race you to the checkout.)

To accessorise pick a bold statement clutch, like this Pierre Hardy one, or for something more novel the Olympia Le Tan Caviar purse is just too fun! And yes, featuring another pair of Bekket sneakers because I dare you to find an outfit they don't go with, or maybe my obsession is now a problem and I need help? Finally mix all these pieces together and see how many outfits you can make from them! Now i've justified all these potential purchases for you, shop them here:

LASER CUT

Amidst the excitement of watching all the AW13 shows online so far this last week (thank you, Style.com), I couldn't help but look back at my favourite SS13 shows (in the live breaks, of course) to see what had influenced my wish list picks for spring/summer. I remember being beyond overjoyed that Celine, Chloe and Isabel Marant had all provided us with muted, neutral colour themes that would make it easy to mix pieces from a winter wardrobe to a summer one. So here we go! More wish lists because making collages are fun and dissertations are not.. Beautiful simple dresses from Chloe mixed with the infamous Susanna boots (now with silver studs for this season for those of you who aren't so inclined to gold hardware). More statement bomber jackets from Marant following on from the covetable embroidered Western jacket of last season. I also couldn't resist the laser-cut pieces from Alaia, and do not fear! A huge range is available at The Outnet for all your purse-friendly-Alaia needs, making it all the more easier to justify, right? Also these laser cut leather shorts from Raoul are a perfect statement pair of shorts, I haven't seen anything else like them.
Other covetable pieces I couldn't resist include the great Olympia Le Tan's book clutch which has pretty much been snapped by every street style photographer and will continue to do so i'm sure! From novel clutches to novel jewellery I still cannot get over the awesomeness that is Delfina Delterez who has added a whole new meaning to the 'fine jewellery' category. In addition are these super thin stacking rings by Catbird NYC that are perfect for every day use, they also come as 'knuckle rings' that are trending in a big way! More on that in my next post though.

PRINTS FOR FALL

Christopher Kane brocade dress as seen on Alexa Chung,
now at The Outnet. Add to Basket

There's something about Christopher Kane's delightful digital prints that will work in your wardrobe all year round, so when I heard from The Outnet that this printed number (as seen on Alexa Chung, no less) was going to be landing online, I had to tell you all about it.
The brown and silver metallic dress will work from New Years Eve to a summer wedding, the neutralness of the colours vs. the prints makes it a solution to any formal event. Not to mention Chung looked amazing in it which naturally makes it even more appealing! Christopher Kane does prints so well, I couldn't help but look at everything else that had landed at The Outnet; this included more brocade dresses in metallic, pastel colours, and these printed light-weight sweaters and tee's which again are a great all-year-round piece, moreover all of these are heavily discounted, so get over to The Outnet now before they all get snapped up!

THE LAUNCH OF IRIS & INK

I was lucky enough to be involved with the Iris & Ink launch last week, the TheOutnet.com's very own new label! A collection of great trend-led essential pieces which complement the incredible fashion finds from The Outnet itself. Sometimes I find when you want that amazing embellished skirt or bright printed silk trousers that you have to have in your wardrobe, you also need the perfect silk t-shirt or the simple cashmere sweater to complete the outfit, and here is the solution! Iris & Ink provide just that; affordable, high quality, wardrobe essentials, which really do go with everything. Working with The Outnet's stylist Chloe, it was amazing to see just how many Iris & Ink pieces teamed up with so many of the branded statement pieces to make everyday outfits look so glamourous. I got to try on this amazing Iris & Ink leather top (a definite wardrobe essential for me!) with some 3.1 Phillip Lim leopard trousers and Jimmy Choo shoes (all available at The Outnet!) ....(click to read more!)
