isabel marant sneakers

I've been looking for some sneakers for ages, so when Isabel Marant's 'Bekket' sneaker came out last year i had my eye on them all the way through to the new 'Willow' version for ss12, which i finally caved for and bought last week. It comes in a number of colour-ways, but i stuck to my instincts and went for the all beige ones as i thought they'd go with more. My favourite part about these shoes is the 3 inch hidden wedge, its such a practical shoe and yet still gives me some height, hurrah! They're a great day shoe that will take you from autumn right through to the summer; as shown in the Matches Lookbook they even look cool with shorts and skirts, (although as its 2 degrees outside i will be firmly sticking to skinny jeans for now!)

I also need to say a big thanks to Mandi at findmeamuse blog who helped me locate a pair of these in my size (as they were sold out within hours!) check out her blog for more Isabel Marant pieces i can only dream of owning!

I'm in love with Sandro's collection; known for its simplistic french style, from silk tops to studded trainers, the pieces are so easy to wear and can carry an outfit from day-wear right through to dinner. My favourite pieces are the navajo inspired ones; so similar to Isabel Marant's relaxed, easy style. My outfit in this post was definitely inspired by Marant's winter collections (as, let's face it, it's still freezing!) Hope you like it! You can see where all the pieces are from below.

a home from home

I spend most of my time back and forth between my london flat and 'home', (it is a constant nightmare attempting to take my wardrobe everywhere with me). I'm now home for a few days to get on with uni research and catch up on some books and magazines i ordered; one of which being 'irreverent' by Carine Roitfeld. I have been meaning to get this since it came out late last year, (and with it being sold out on amazon almost permanently) i finally got my copy this week. Needless to say it is beautiful, Roitfeld's lives work summed up into an a3 leather bound book. You forget how many incredible shoots she has orchestrated and styled, not to mention her endless contacts with icons of the fashion industry. Amongst this are a few more pics of my time home, and new buys! :)
